.....It was here just 64 years ago to this month that Ike Eisenhauer met one on one with some of the 170,000 troops before giving the command that set them off to rest the country of France from the iron fisted hand of Hitler and the Nazis.
This is a diagram of how the whole one day invasion looked...... .....here I got a sense of how many paid the price that freedom could be gained......
This helped bring the reality of it all home to me.....
