Another Wonderful Evening At Bill's Botanical

There's just nothing like having friends join us for food, fun and conversation. Chris and Sonja came for supper and Dan Barnhart stopped on his way by. That's the most delicious strawberry shortcake in the world on the table! It's times like these that we savor much more than good food......God has brought our paths to cross some wonderful REAL people we just love!

Thanks to Bob and Claudia who gave us these water iris that always bloom on Memorial Day and remind us to give thought and praise especially to those who have given their lives for the freedom we have.

New Turtles Into The Pond....Attempt #2

A second attempt was made to introuduce turtles into Bill's Botanical Pond.........Jay caught 2 Red Eared Sliders and slid them into the abyss.... I..... Due to my Pond Liability Statute..... rejected his 3rd gift..... a dinner plate size snapper seen below......

.....it all causes me to wonder how my Grandturtles are doing over there in France...???

By the way.....the results of this introduction was the same as attempt #1......they were gone the next morning!!!!!!

What a Wonderful Place For A Stroll

The Buxton Inn in Granville is a wonderful place for a stroll and to bring inspiration to Bill's Botanical. It is owned and operated by a frined and fellow retired school Principal, Orville Orr. Megan worked here for a while.

So Often Passed By....

Just a mile down Claylick Road....hidden among the pines..... is this scene which I've passed by on my way to Toboso for years. It was only when Heather brought it to my attention and I drove by it this morning at 10 MPH instead of the usual 40 MPH that I realized it's beauty. I have been in to big a hurry to much of the time to stop and notice such sites!

Love the Foxgloves...

...maybe it's the conical flowers or conical spires....maybe it's the way they diminish in size up the stems.....but I love the looks of foxgloves.....
