Let the Painting Begin!

As a college sophomore I had a friend who was a rare combination. He was the fullback on the Marietta Football team and an art connoisseur. He taught me to paint in water color. I painted some before we had children. Then for obvious reasons...the painting was suspended. Latent talent ...put on hold....until now! It is about to burst forth again. Grandaughter Adelle and I are about to start painting together. My first painting will be like the one in this picture which just jumped out to intrigue me. Posted by Picasa

Bill's Botanical Visitor

As the kids prepare to head back to Virginia Beach they leave a trail of beautiful moments including this one. They are so precious in their innocence. to Hailey every moment is an adventure. Her brain soaks up information like a sponge. She processes it and expounds on it at some later time to the amazement of at least her Grandfather! Posted by Picasa

About Grandchildren

I don't know what it is exactly.....I only know nothing can put a smile on my face more than the presence of the grandkids. Having 4 of the five around me these last 2 weeks has just been a delight. This breakfast scene...the laughter and banter and discussion.... with a cup of coffee in my hand is just one of the great blessings God has in mind for me in these days. Posted by Picasa

More Animal Feeding

We finally ended our morning adventure by coming home to "Bill's Botanical Gardens" where Hailey proceeded to fill the bird feeders with seed. She loves the birds in Granma and Grandpa's back yard. Posted by Picasa

Feeding the Horses

Hailey then enjoyed feeding the horses down the road with the apples and carrots that Seth gave her. She also took notice of the fact that they "poopied!" Posted by Picasa

Visit with Seth

While we were at Seth's, Heather sent a movie greeting to Hailey by phone. This is Seth showing it to Hailey.  Posted by Picasa

The Big 61....

The girls arrived with birthday wishes, cake and Red Heart Underwear! One year from Social Security is not easy to face. The call from Sam at 6:45 AM, the girls, breakfast with my good friend John Wallace, Wes and Cheryl, Megan and Dave, a visit from Seth and Heather, calls from Melissa, Joyce, Salle, Ruth and others just made it an outstanding Birthday. Posted by Picasa

More SUPER than the Super Bowl

David and Megan arrived with Alyssa and Hailey from Virginia Beach. After all attending church this morning we gathered for a Super Bowl Supper at Wes and Cheryl's. All four girls were together. It was a blast!

Sam Launches New Business

I received the following informaton from French son, Sam as he launches his new business:

"As many of you know I left L.A. to start a new and exciting stage of life in France and that my plan was,
in one way or another, to start my own bicycle touring business, well...that time has officially arrived! Now please don't get all frenzied up quite yet as we're starting small and doing this very properly. We'll be
providing you (and your friends and families) with an assortment of trips to make your precious vacation
time perfect for the type of riding and relaxing each of you would prefer. We would like to invite you to
join us this summer for two very special trips! One
will be in the Provence region of France and the other
in and around the Cote d'Azure! We will be limiting
these two trips to 8-12 people each so as to be able
to provide the service you've come to expect and that
I like to provide.
If you wish to gather a group
of friends for either of these trips please let me
know and we can go forward knowing that one of these
trips could be as intimate as you may wish. A la
Prochaine! (that's, until next time!)"

Anyone for cycling France let me know and I'll put you in touch with Sam!
