So Often Passed By....

Just a mile down Claylick Road....hidden among the pines..... is this scene which I've passed by on my way to Toboso for years. It was only when Heather brought it to my attention and I drove by it this morning at 10 MPH instead of the usual 40 MPH that I realized it's beauty. I have been in to big a hurry to much of the time to stop and notice such sites!

It's actually a nuclear weapons silo that has been decommissioned since the mid-20s. The government didn't want the world to know it had the technology yet, so they hid it in Licking County Ohio. They knew no-one would even think of looking there!

Willie, it's really a nice find. I've certainly never seen it and I've been through there enough times that something so beautifully rustic, and inetesting, shouldn't have gone unnoticed.
Very neat.
