7 Habits of Highly Effective Marriage Retreat

Because I had trouble with blogger....the captions for these pictures are in sequence below the last picture in the order they should appear. It is just a glimpse into this passed weekend....

Pat and I spent the weekend in Niles Michigan conducting a marriage retreat. We've done about 7 or 8 of these and the results are predictable. We realize how important we are to each other! We realize how important communication is to healthy marriage.....particularly the skill of listening......or as Habit 5 states it..."Seek First To Understand And Then Be Understood." To be able to share these habits and from our own life marriage experiences (of which there are many!) is part of what God has us doing with our lives at this time.

Brad and Nikki (left) and Richard and Violet (background) are examples of the age diversity we had and that this is useful for marriages of few or many years.

Johnnie and Barb are newlyweds of one year and were a lot of fun. Thanks to Pastor Dave and wife Ellie for inviting us to Michigan.
Go Bucks!!!
