Flint Ridge State Memorial

With State funding for historic sites dwindling The Licking Valley Heritage Society has stepped up to take on the operation of this ancient and significant flint quarry.

....native Americans would come to these flint pits to quarry this beautiful and useful stone to be napped into arrowheads and tools.

The transition from the Ohio Historical Society to our Licking Valley Heritage Society was accompolished at this meeting of OHS reps George Kane and Vickie Branson and LVHS reps Duane Flowers, Dave Hile and me.
