What's This Trip Really All About, Anyway?

This represents to me the importance of this trip. It is connecting with our "French Children" who are being the most gracious of hosts. We share breakfast and stories in the morning, tromp through ancient Roman ruins and art galleries by day and indulge in delicious french food, conversation, laughter and embrace in the evening. Posted by Picasa

Agrippa

This bust...sculpted as the sculpter looked him in the eye...is of the man who said to Paul, "Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian." Posted by Picasa

BC/AD We see those symbols all over these museums!

It is amazing to view such well preserved artifacts as this ancient Egyption scribe and realize you are looking at things and people into whose world Christ actually walked. Posted by Picasa

Viewing Vincent and the Boys

Van Gogh, Monet, Degas, Rembrant...you name them...we've seen them. Enriching and exhausting experience! Posted by Picasa

Couch Surfing

Cousin Bev Kerr's daughter Elizabeth and her friend Abby arrived last night and are joining us on this part of our life adventure. Here they are indulging in the international sport of "Couch Surfing" which Elizabeth is becoming proficient at. We are totally looking forward to having them join us for the museum and art gallery part of the trip. Elizabeth is and expert in ancient and mideavil history and Abby an art major. They will be adding so much to our experience! Posted by Picasa
