An Evening At The Zoo......

For several years we have been wanting to get to the Christmas Light show at the Columbus Zoo. Having the Grandaughters for the evening provided the opportunity to enjoy it with Aunt Claudia and Uncle Bob.

...........with music playing we strolled among the sights and sounds in a sort of "winter wonderland."

............literally millions of lights made for some wonderful views......

.........and the snow/water on all the surfaces made it sparkle the more.

...........while Adele admires her namesake friend......the Adelie penguin..........

....................Zoe stikes a pose among the lights.......... It was a truly enchanting evening! Thanks B & C!

Elizabeth The Hockey Player...

Tonight I slipped over to the Lou and Gib Reese Ice Hockey Rink to see my second cousin and fellow international traveler, Elizabeth, play hockey.

.......last week she had what in Hockey terms is called a "Hat Trick" which is three goals for her team..........tonight..........

...........she slid loose past several defenders.....with the puck...........put a move on the last obstacle defenseman...............

TO SCORE.......... WAY TO GO ELIZABETH!!!!

............so we wake up this morning..........come to the kitchen window to see this scene before our eyes.....

...........out to the back porch and what a view.....I MUST GET OUTSIDE WITH MY CAMERA!!

...........Pat was inside preparing a luscious breakfast while I wander around the botanical gardens taking pictures.....

.....the waterfalls are especially beautiful in the "snow setting".....
